Project Brief
The John Perry Children’s centre wished to develop a multifunctional canopy to provide essential shade to cool the new building, create shaded play areas and an area protected from rain to allow children a ‘free flow’ of movement from inside to outside the centre.
Solution
Fabric Ten custom designed a tensile fabric structure using a combination of knitted HDPE shade fabric and 720 gms Ferrari PVC fabric to provide the desired shade, cooling and rain protection.
The inclined pole design maximises the shade impact and creates an architectural solution which enhances the aesthetic of this award winning building.
